No, this is a feature that is having the ability to identify words and phrases in spoken language and convert them to a machine-readable format. The browser extension can then convert this command to an action or write the text example in the Google search box.

How enable this Speech Recognition feature?

Most modern web browser support this feature, but some doesn’t yet. If you are using Google Chrome, Opera, you are good.

Web Browser

In the browser extension is this feature default disabled, but by opening the Turn Off the Lights options page can you activate this feature. So you can talk to your web browser, where you can say something like: turn off the lights.

Windows Store App

In the Turn Off the Lights Windows Store app is this feature default enabled for Windows 10. Just ask for Cortana, and said the command such as play this video, pause this video, to do the lights off etc. And your personal assistant Cortana do direct this command on your computer.

Camera Motion

Autoplay is one of the great features in Turn Off the Lights browser extension that makes your video experience more enjoyable. When you enable this option, and you click on the play button on an HTML5 video. It dims the screen and highlight automatically the video player such as YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion. Want to go back to the previous web page style? Click on the pause button and the dark layer will fade away.

How to enable this Autoplay feature?

The only thing you need is a modern web browser such as Google Chrome and the Turn Off the Lights extension. When both items are installed on your computer:

1. Open your favorite web browser
2. Click right on the gray lamp button in the address bar
3. In the context menu, choose now the menu item “Options”
4. You will see that the web browser open now the settings page
5. Below the preview panel, you see the option autoplay. Check this inputbox are you are done

Doesn’t work? Here is the Solution!

Mostly this is caused by the other extensions you are using in your web browser. To fix this click on the menu icon in your web browser and select the menu item “Options”. Click now on the panel extensions.
On that page you see the list of installed extensions in your web browser. Disable now one by one the extension you are using except the Turn Off the Lights extension.

Remove Online Ads Extension

Most ads is coming from another browser extension that is installed on your computer. To remove it (in the Google Chrome web browser):

• Open the options menu via the “menu” icon on the top right, and choose Settings.
• Open the Extensions panel and there is the list of extensions installed.
• Remove an Extension by clicking the Remove button next to an item.
